A look back at 2009
The Aruba Poker Classic has wrapped up for the year and every single member of the UB community who made their way down to paradise has lots of reasons to celebrate like champions. Here’s a quick snapshot of some of the main highlights:
- Brandon Hall of Littlestown, PA, conquered the 2009 Aruba Poker Classic to secure a first place prize of $753,330.
- 475 players played in the $5,500 Main Event
- The Main Event featured a prize pool of over $2.3 million
- Elliott Smith won the keys to a Mercedes ML-350 by conquering our Mercedes Giveaway final table. He secured his spot through an online poker qualifier.
- The weeklong poker experience included a welcome party, a closing banquet, a VIP party in Phil Hellmuth's penthouse, nonstop poker tournaments & SnGs, the chance to hang out with Team UB pros & celebrities, and so much more – all on the world's best beach.
